Some good advice for life =]
As we get older and older, I keep hearing the message that we'll end up somewhere different than where we planned to originally.
I want to keep old friends.
Keep fit.
Find out what I want to do for the rest of my life.
Make sure I am financially stable.
Travel.
I have this list of things I wanted to do. Just like anything. It's good I think to be able to plot little events in your future. Kind of feels like I can steer where I am going a little bit =]

I just realised the last couple times I visited the "create blog" page I used it to decipher the crappily formatted emails I receive from university. Above is one such example.
Anyway, what is up with me and blogging lately? I don't know, I guess I just don't see it as an integral part of my life haha. I do have random places where I write down stuff I've done lately etc, but I dislike the idea of putting that kind of stuff on the internet. I guess Dad has affected the way I think more than I thought =p
Nevertheless, why not regive it a try. New blog promise, I won't post twice a week, or once a week, or maybe even once a month. But every time I do write something I will endeavour that it contains some actual food for thought, and effort on my part. =] Should have said that to start out shouldn't I haha...I'd much rather quality over quantity.
Spoiler alert: if you have not seen Inception you may not understand/want to read this bit.
So recently I saw Inception. And I wanna skip to the end of the movie. You remember that rageworthy ending that made people jump up and go "WTF DAMMIT TELL ME HOW IT ENDS" ? Ok well I almost did that =.= Anyway I was thinking about it and, well, experiment: Loop that video for like 20min, and see how long people will watch it. I mean, apart from the lolful prolonged almost-climax feeling, that kind of reaction happens alot in real life doesn't it?
Like...unless you literally KNOW the thing fell over, there is always the chance that it will never fall over. And if it has not fallen over yet, then both outcomes are still equally valid. So, while the top is still spinning, it gives you this hope that the ending is happy, and not bittersweet like we know it probably is. This hope is precisely why the joke of dragging out that scene for a retarded amount of time works at all.
In real life, you can kind of see people dragging hope out for inane amounts of time. Like that mega long crush some people have that amount to nothing, or trying to get things to go back to how they were 'back then', or hoping that your marks will magically improve without you studying =p
Iuno if this makes alot of sense...but ye I thought it was an interesting observation at the time =]
Side note: Download/youtube the track "Mind Heist" from Inception trailer. It makes me feel epic. Viv says it makes her want to rule the world from her toilet.
I think I will end here, just because I need to sleep and whatnot. I hope reading this was worth your time ^^ Until next time =]

Over the Hill
SO! My massive 3 exams in three days is over, and now I have a whoooooole WEEK until Finance 1 ^_^.
Have been rereading my old Deltora quest books lately, very fond memories =] However Hungy mentioned deltora quest anime and watching that kind of made it less special in my head...== It inserted all those "we're fighting for PEACE and...FREEDOM!" type lines and made the whole thing sound much more corny >3 Way to ruin a memory man =[
Music I have been listening to lately:
Ron Pope - A drop in the ocean
If you're feeling a bit lovesick
Train - Brick by Brick, This ain't goodbye, Hey soul sister
The last one makes me happy. The first two I've just found and am not really sure what I think about them =] I really like this band ^^ They've got some really nice songs.
Josh Pyke - The Summer, Memories and Dust
The summer is one of those nostalgic songs. Memories and Dust MV has baby chickens hatching.
Someone still loves you Boris Yeltsin - Cardinal Rules
I laughed that they named the band to make Boris feel better. Tbh I'm not actually sure why they're called that but it's a nice thought ^^
Last Dinosaurs - Honolulu
I'm not sure why I like this. It just gives me alot of energy ^^
Chopin - Ocean etude (Op. 25, no 12)
Pro piano, and it sounds awesome =]
Hancock Soundtrack - The Moon and the Superhero
For feeling epic and superhero-y. At about 1min57-ish I always imagine someone standing on top of a cliff with a cape on a windy day haha.
Anyway yes, so my first day of the finance studying period was spent playing CoD and driving mom and James to/from work/school. Yaay. I love slow days like this XD

So I finished Bio revision...
And our last topic was the animal kingdom (like classification and whatnot, I made a wonderful flowchart for it =]) Somehow, that got me thinking about this type of Australian bird I remember learning about from Primary school. So I sat and thought.
and thought..
and thought...
AND REMEMBERED!! It's called the Tawny Frogmouth- I know, awesome name right? That is just the beginning, when I googled this bird to refresh my memory like every page had some lolful pic on it. Anyway, it gave me such a refreshing change from the dullness of bio that I felt I should share the good mood with the internet ^_^
"Smouldering eyes" I need to learn how to do this expression bahah
At the time I thought this one had a kind of evil little dictator look about it but now it kind of just looks out of it ..^^"
"Bed hair"
You may think this this one is happy to see you, but the caption that came with it said it was eating a small animal =[
Ok so now you can all see how the week of being locked up at home has affected me =p Anyway hope that gave you some kind of respite from the hard studying I know you are all doing ^^
Fact: The juxtaglomerular apparatus is made of modified smooth muscle, and reacts to drops in blood pressure by releasing renin which acts on angiotensinogen which acts on angiotensin I which acts on angiotensin II which stiumlates thirst, constricts peripheral arterioles, constricts efferent arterioles in nephrons and makes the hypothalamus produce aldosterone via the posterior pituitary which changes the permeability of the tissue in the thick ascending limb of Henle to water which allows more to be reabsorped and increases total blood volume, leading to an increase in blood pressure, maintaining homeostasis. =] Wooosh! I told you I'd done my bio revision XD

My little world
So whoever reads this has probably realised I haven't posted for a little while =] This is of course because of the evil evil evil exams I have on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Since they're kind of important and my first ever uni exams I thought I'd try and hardcore nerd it out.
Hahahahahah =__="
I love how I trick myself into doing this every pre-exam period. I mean, by all rights, should have been studying couple weeks before now, so I wouldn't have to try and all out nerd...but it's the same as making lunch on holidays; always too far to prepare for properly so when you actually feel hungry/need to study you just end up with a ceebs 4 layer toasted cheese sandwich lol ^^" (I'm not sure what the studying equivalent of that is >_>)
In other news though, I FINALLY FINALLY learnt Comptine D'un autre ete from Amelie (that song Pingu played heaps at school if any mhs kids remember) and I think you should all search for it because it's awesome! I'd almost forgotten about that song, but Mum found it in my youtube history and loved it so I decided to hunt down the sheet music =] Funny thing is it took me less than a couple hours to learn. I like how you can just steamroll down tasks when you set your mind to them =] Also we got an awesome Tv and I now have the Bridge to Terabithia soundtrack. That movie always makes me feel extra optimistic X^__^
Anyway I'd better get some sleep now XD Hope everyone is still studying hard =]
Fact: I decided to blog at midday today. It is now 11.27pm. Now you may think that is alot of lag..but ... I got hung up playing this towerdefence game, and then eating, then setting up Tv, then some other game made by american uni kids. And yes, the final blow for my apathy was the realisation that I wouldn't be able to say I blogged TODAY if I did it past 12 ^^"

Fruit Ninja
Is possibly the most awesome game ever invented (contending with counterstrike, dota, oven break, tetris, minesweeper and go....don't judge me ><). I spent most of the micro lecture after Finance today playing it on Alex's itouch.
Stuff that happened today:
We had a very emotional last ever Calc 2 tute. That group of kids was my reason to drag myself to uni every thursday morning =[ Ima miss them. Even the ones I didn't really meet.
Bought my first ever warm bubblecup. Very yummy, especially since it was such a cold day ^_^ Mandy and Alex reckon they taste retarded but I think it is just an acquired taste. Anyway, they might have icky bacteria filled icecubes. Also the melting ice dilutes the milktea and makes it taste weird. Totally secure about my choice of bubblecup =\
Crashed a chem tute - I need to revise alot... :O
Finished reading over chem notes made in lectures.
Dot waved at me...REALLY ENERGETICALLY!!!
I found 50c at union house and we spent an improper amount of time spinning/rolling it.
I got some honey chicken from Hungy.
I got half a crab ball from swango; midair chopstick mediated exchange of slippery hemisphere of processed meat was quite pro. (gosh that sounds awesome)
We devised a catapult from a Saigon noodle shop spoon and a polystyrene plate. Said catapult was used by Jacky to plop coin into Swang's noodles. (luckily the crab hemisphere was obtained before this time)
I actually shed a tear laughing at this movie on oj's computer in finance. It was a guy just whacking himself over the head with a sheet of wood over and over again lol. But when I rewatched it myself at home in full it was actually kind of sad...I realised he was trying to prove the usefulness of determination and persistence by not giving up until he broke the thing in half... =\
I scored 270 on fruit ninja. I believe for a first attempt this is quite formidable and this is clear evidence that I am at least part ninja.
I was given a free Milky Way chocolate ^_^
I beat Oven Break again, gaining an E for Alex, who was of course filled with praise because of my blessing her itouch with my skills. Bonita reckons if you spell out FREEDOM with the letters the ingame background music changes.
Fact: Redbull + milk tea from bubblecup = congealed blobs of milk and a clear bottom layer or syrupy/watery stuff. If you look at the top bit from above it looks like curdled milk (which is what I believe it is).
Ps: I am sorry I haven't been updating music. I have been making mental playlists on the way home on the bus but I always cbs by the time I get home ^^"
Pps: ........................................I forget >_>
Ppps: OH RIGHT!!!!!
DEAR LITTLE FISH WHO LIVE IN THE SIDE OF MY PAGE!! You were dearly missed during my absence from this blog. I hope you did not get too skinny =[
There we go, someone said they liked long posts =] Hope reading this left your conscience with enough time to collect itself and nag you into doing homework =p

Hmmmm
So I have started revision proper finally ^_^. It's awesome though, I wrote heaps more notes that most kids during lectures, so all I have to do now is read over them and go over the topics in the books =] FINALLY all my frantic scribbling in lectures will pay off!! To lecture slide printing kids: I hope the trees whose bodies you printed disturbing amounts of lecture slides onto are ok with what you have done >3 Anyway yes, after that all that is left is practise exams =] I hope I get this timing thing right lmao...not too early that you forget everything preexam, but not too late that you stressplode the night before exam ><
Crashed Accounting lecture today and I realised something; they are actually doing revision! How come in all my subjects we're still learning stuff for the exams?! Especially bio, I mean wtf man, give us a hw sheet for stuff we haven't done yet == Then again, uni IS supposed to be more self directed learning right? >_> Shame on me for not having read the book a year ago.
Nostalgia is a pain in the bum sometimes. Sometimes you can really miss how things used to be, because you have such good memories of the time. But I think we have to remember that memory only likes the memorable bits, and that in the time we now look back upon so fondly now we were probably plagued with a similar amount of problems and worrys as we are now. That's a nice thought though isn't it? That all the worries we have currently are fleeting and easily forgettable ^_^ Got to make sure you appreciate the memorable stuff while you can =]
Have been sick lately (because of lack of sleep and vitamin c according to my friend) so tonight I will sleep a full hour earlier than usual ^_^ Hope this starts working before exams roll in =\
ANYWAY! I hope you're all studying more than I am =]
Fact: Before it goes into your mouth, food is food. When it is going past your pharynx it is called a bolus. When it is in your tummy it is called chmye. And I think we all know what it is called when it comes out the rear door. Wow... and I used to think Finance had alot of words for the same thing ^^"

Tired
Three late nights in a row = me being not very hyper at work today ><
Thursday night I had squash with Abid and Matt. Have not played in so so so so so long! Was pretty fun, only I think Abid did something funny to his back when he did this massive splits/lunge thing. After that went for a run on the athletics track, realised I haven't run a proper 100 in ages. Body conks out a bit early now =[ Cannot run the whole way full tilt. Must fix. Need more days like Tuesday =]
Friday I think was the day MHS guys came to uni for careers session or something, so saw little Vincent. He called to tell me he was here and apparently my reaction weirded out people at my lunch table. Jeez guys, I'm not allowed to have energy? XD
Friday night was Hungy's 18th, which was very guyful. But that was actually a good thing, as we could pig out as much as we wanted at Sante and not have to worry too much about manners =] We all came out feeling much much bloated after that XD Somehow Hungy or Yunghan procured cards and we played for like hours there, in KFC and in Hungy's apartment lobby. Really fun to play Big 2 and knives like in year 9 and at aths days ^_^ Was also good smiting many pesants on OJ's Mount and Blade game. I will beat it, in time >3
Saturday night was EMS concert at Melba Hall. Was quite fun, but omfg I hate how orchestra is always last. Means we have to play twice in one night =_= Rather just get it all over with in one shot haha. Did not go afterparty because of work Sunday morning =[
Annyway that was my weekend ^^ Hope you all got more sleep than I did =]
OH OH OH I ALMOST FORGOT! Very happy about bio now ^_^ We did the heart/lung dissection prac on thursday and I am amazed at all the unintentional learning I have achieved! XD To bhs kids, the demonstrators did the same thing Ms Palmer did in year 7 with the puffy lungs, only they used plastic pipes =] Hearts are weird to dissect, when you stick your fingers down the chambers you can really feel the muscle pushing in. And they have all these pesky cords of muscle between the chamber walls that get in the way when you're looking for valves :x
Quote: "Don't waste your time on jealously...the race is long, and in the end it's against yourself"
Fact: I now have an awesome jacket =] Oven Break is an extremely addictive game.
Not sure if the people involed know I took this pic, but it was our last day of school =] We MHS kids were a manly, serious bunch ^^

The motivational day off
Today I awoke at about 8.15am and rushed out of the house to drive mom to busstop in my Pjs. I then spent about an hour playing games and catching up on fb/news/email/xkcd. Then bummed for like ages. By about 10 or 11 I read this random xanga blog, and somehow got hit by this massive burst of energy.
Anyway so the result of this was me putting on awesome motivational music and showering BEFORE midday. (Oh yes, btw I don't have uni on tuesday XD bahaha) And then...did pushups and situps (omfg finally I can do more than year 7 me again, TAKE THAT YOU LITTLE EXERCISE NUT) ANNND to top it off went for a run :O
Only that wasn't such a good idea, because I kind of ran out of breath halfway and had to stop running for a bit =_=" It is quite depressing to see how far fitness dropped. Then again I was never a distance kid so ye =]
Motivation is a fickle thing. Really hard to keep going. I think I will spam my mp3 with speedy music ^_^
Hm oh yes and now I have a stomach ache from eating some random megahot chilli that mum brought home from work.

Fact: Hotness scale for chilli etc is call the Scoville scale. It ranges from 0-16million (no significant heat to pure capsaicin -> the stuff that brings the pain)

The day that was wasted
Was today.
Today I won my 72nd race in Need for Speed: Underground which I installed on Friday. Kind of simultaneously proud and depressed haha XD I think there is just something inherently awesome about speedy cars and nitrous oxide.
Every now and then we get those days where we just cbs and cannot be bothered studying, and today was mine. I slept at 2am because I was playing NFS, and when I woke up I played it again until like 12pm haha. Feel so nostalgic playing that game, and it's even awesomer now since I can FINALLY push all the graphics to full and not have my computer explode. (a moment of silence for my beloved but somewhat inept Acer from year 7)
However, the day has not been completely wasted =] I've almost finished the calc project that is due on monday, and going to go over bio and do lesson plans for tomorrow before I sleep ^_^
I'm sure some of you have seen this, but it never fails to make me laugh =] Enjoy the little things in life.

Pop !
Wow, I cannot believe it has only been four months haha ! Feels like an age since I have been here ^^"
Before anyone reams me out, I quote: "My life is boring, and my motivation comes every new year, so at times, this blog will probably die =p"
I have no recollection of actually writing that, and I'm not too sure what compelled me to write it in the first place, but it seems mighty convenient right now bahah XD
Anyway, I've decided to start adding to this again as a bit of a personal challenge =] I think it will be good for me to just go at something full tilt, and keep to what I want to do right now. Got to say though, after first time, I have alot more respect for the consistent bloggers in our corner of the internets. It can be quite depressing when people don't comment stuff, or noone talks in the chatbox, and I think it takes a certain quality to ignore that bit and still write such nice posts all the time ^^
Another thing I read somewhere, is that apparently it is not the actual content of a blog as much as the frequency of posts that makes it attractive to readers. So now I think I've pinned down where I went wrong. I put up those massive posts and like 25 song mp3 lists because well...I think I was accidentally overdoing it ^^" Actually I'm pretty sure someone mentioned it early on =p But yeah, it was what I wanted to do because iuno...I had this idea I could come up with a heap of interesting cool stuff over and over again for ages. So yes, plan now is post bi-tri weekly and keep it short and sweet XD
NOW! ^_^ For my first short blogthing...
<( o.o )> Click his nose =]
It's like old but just so cool XD This gives me hope for the things humanity can do when they really get together and co-operate. Of course the awesome music is essential ^_^ Don't have to feel bad if you don't watch it all, I can't say I did haha o.< But watch to about 50-60sec for the cameraman in the bottom left to get run over =]
